Commissioned by Oxfam India, this research project aims to prepare policy briefs on 1) land rights and orange areas in central India, 2) land pooling schemes and land rights, 3) legal provision of consent of tribespeople and forest diversion in India, 4) coastal erosion and land rights of fisherfolk and 5) illegal eviction of tribespeople from forestlands.

Commissioned by Oxfam India, this project aims to create a training kit for researchers and journalists for better documentation and reporting of issues related to land governance and land rights in India.

Commissioned by N/Core, this research project aims to collect and analyse data regarding the legal processes/loopholes that result in land conflicts across India for better policymaking and to facilitate ground-level democratic processes. Under this research, we shall revisit the 755 cases of land conflicts documented in the LCW database and collect additional data on the laws and the legal processes involved in these conflicts or in their resolutions.

Commissioned by RRI, Washington D.C., this study aims to collect and analyse data of ongoing land conflicts in India. Every month, about 10-15 new cases of land conflicts are documented. At the end of the project, a comprehensive analytical study that explores the reasons and impact of land conflicts in India will be produced.
