Lucknow Development Authority (LDA) is planning to develop a residential area on HardoiSitapur bypass named Prabandh Nagar. Spread across 2500 acres, the project includes 1500 acres of residential area and 1000 acres of a gigantic theme park. The project is stuck in land acquisition for the past 10 years because farmers are not ready to give away their land demanding 4 times compensation than what was being offered by LDA. Due to the compensation row, the LDA could not make any progress. LDA claims that whenever they go to acquire lands, builders get involved with farmers, agitate against the authority and protest in front of the office. The former ViceChairperson, Rajiv Agarwal conducted many meetings between Farmers and LDA officials to settle the conflict. In September 2019, the LDA agreed to provide compensation to farmers upto double the circle rate, which will be adjusted by increasing the value of the plots. There is a possibility of increasing the prices of land. In this regard, the LDA Vice President held a meeting with all officials associated with the scheme. However, the farmers have rejected the offer and are not ready to give the land. In October 2019, the farmers staged a sitin where the district administration promised the farmers that talks will held with the LDA Vice President in three days time. In November 2020, it was reported that the city management plan joining Sitapur Road and Hardoi Road is set to be developed after ten years. Allu Nagar Digaria, Ghela and Kakauli villages are will be affected. The affected farmers haven't been paid compensation yet. The report also mentioned that the farmers of the three villages have been told to approach the court for compensation based on the new rate.
